This is officially the last Milly Taiden book that I'll read. I haven't read her in a while and this book reminded me why. I only purchased it because I have a weakness for romances based on fairytales and a weakness for bear shifters. What combines those better than a romance based on Goldilocks? Well, it would have been good if everything hadn't been so abrupt. There was absolutely no emotion present in this book and the characters were cardboard cutouts, no depth at all. The writing was non-descriptive and seemed amateurish. The second star was purely for the intriguing plot that could have actually gone somewhere in better hands.1 star = awful! want my money back!2 stars = bad but not horrendous3 stars = decent/good4 stars = really good! will probably read again.5 stars = excellent! definitely recommend and will definitely read again!
m/f/mMilly Taiden has spiced up this tale of Goldielocks and her bears. I really liked our heroine Ash. With her life she could have been a total wreck but instead her challenges have made her that much stronger. When she meets grumpy grizzly shifter Spencer Hartz and fun black bear shifter Chaz Coco she discovers they are just right for her. Another sexy win from Milly Taiden.
Like all the Howls Romances, this is a short quick read but this one manages to cram a lot of story telling into a short story. Ash is a really likable character who is strong and caring. Spencer comes across as a gruff and growling guy and Chaz is more laid back. Each of them has something in their past that has affected how they currently behave. How they and the different parts of the story are all brought together is an interesting and entertaining journey worth taking. Of course there is the plenty of steam you would expect with a triad and a HEA.
Leave it to Milly Taiden to give her readers a super fairytale! Really (as always) enjoyed this book. Ash has a terrific talent and it gives this book an interesting twist . Be sure and read I'm sure you will like it!
Wonderful twist on an old classic, I enjoyed reading this updated version of a favorite fairytale. I would definitely recommend this book.
Unexpected twists and turns and some you don’t see coming. This is another great book from Milly. Can’t wait for her next book. Couldn’t put it down. Loved it!!
Goldie and the Bears is the newest stand alone book from Milly Taiden. In this updated version of Goldilocks we follow human Ash & bear shifters Spencer and Chaz find their way to happily ever after.Ash Goldenlochs has a gift, or a curse as she sees it. She sees the past of any object or person she touches. When she sees information about a murder, she feels she has to tell his business partners what she saw despite her fear of what might happen because of it. She doesn't expect the feelings that come over her when she sees them though.Spencer and Chaz couldn't be more different. Spencer is as military as they come while Chaz is the easy going type. How they got matched up Spencer would never know. All he does know is that if they don't find their mate soon, his bear is going to give up hope. They're frustrated when their business partner doesn't show up to work, but not worried. That is until they find out he's dead. They couldn't have been more surprised when their mate shows up & says she has information about their partner. But will they be able to protect her when danger comes after her?I'll admit I do like the updated fairy tales & look forward to reading them. Some are good & others not so much. But even though the only part of Goldilocks that's left here is the girl & the bears, this version is one of the best I've read.The main characters are strong & I related to them well. The story line has enough intrigue to keep my interest without going over the top. It definitely kept me turning pages wanting to see what happened next. All in all, this kicked up Goldilocks is well worth the read.

She's not yet part of the team until Spence and Chaz scent her coming to the office to give them the information she has on the murder and possibly apply for a job in their company.The guys realize right away who she is to them. Keeping their bears and human sides under control is a real battle. Neither has been with other women often waiting for the one that will complete their trio. With her mutual feeling, they don't have to wait long.They guys aren't the only one after Ash. She's a witness and dangerous to the killer. Can the guys keep her safe? They all have secrets. When they are revealed, will it be a game changer for them all?There is some great play on the Fairytale title. Some cute antics and some steamy moments. The characters are all different but together they fit well. Good play on the story and inner story.
